Why Are They Gaming?

Dear Mr. Sanchez,

Reading your article was very interesting for me because I have very little knowledge of the topic discussed. What I have realized, though, is that people seem to play these online games more for the social aspect and inclusion than the actual stimulation of the game. Why else would people suffer through these dry, text-based games?

They could easily get more stimulation from playing a simple game of solitaire, but that wouldn't give them that connection to other humans they seek. This is ironic because the "connection" is actually an electronic gap. Sounds like a strange desire to me, but I guess you never know.

Kindest Regards,
Joe Guagenti
